Wasp Services

Wasps can be aggressive and potentially dangerous, particularly when a nest is disturbed. During the warmer months, nests are commonly found in lofts, wall cavities, roof spaces, sheds, garages, and other outdoor structures around the property.

At Rat King Pest Control, we provide professional wasp nest treatment in Eastbourne and across East Sussex, using a safe and effective approach to identify the nest, treat the activity, and help reduce the risk of further problems.

Signs You May Have Wasps

There are several common signs that may indicate wasp activity around your property:

  • Frequent wasp sightings – especially around rooflines, soffits, vents, sheds, garages, wall cavities, or loft spaces
  • Wasps entering and leaving the same area – regular movement to and from one point often indicates a nearby nest
  • Buzzing in walls, ceilings, or loft spaces – this can suggest nest activity inside a cavity or void
  • Increased wasp activity in warmer months – wasp nests are usually more noticeable during spring and summer
  • Wasps gathering around outdoor structures – such as fences, sheds, eaves, decking, or bins
  • Visible nest material – some nests may be seen in lofts, sheds, bushes, or sheltered outdoor areas
  • Aggressive behaviour near a certain location – wasps may become defensive if you are close to an active nest
  • Sudden increase in wasp numbers – particularly around entrances, gardens, patios, or outdoor seating areas

What to Expect from a Wasp Nest Treatment

Identification of the nest will be carried out during your initial survey. Where the nest is accessible and located at a height of 10 metres or under, treatment is usually carried out immediately during the same visit.

Nests that are more difficult to access may require specialist equipment or additional access arrangements. If this is the case, this will be explained to you during the survey.

Following treatment, it is recommended that the nest is left undisturbed for a minimum of 48 hours to allow the treatment to take full effect. If activity remains, re-treatment may be possible after 7 days where necessary.

Optional removal of accessible nests is available from 7 to 10 days after treatment, once the nest is no longer active.

Survey: FREE

We offer a free survey to assess suspected wasp activity and confirm the location of the nest before treatment is carried out.

Wasp nest treatment (accessible nests up to 10 metres): £79
Price includes retreatment if still active after 7 - 10 days

Additional nests on site: £19
